Course Outline

Three CEU credits available. This course is delivered completely on-line as an internet download course. Two of the five course units are available continuously, 24 hours/day, to registered students via password protected files on the internet. System Safety refers to a broad management doctrine and, at the same time, to a collection of analytical methods that supports this doctrine. In system safety there is always a perceived system, components (which can include people) and interactions among and between the components that describe the system operation.

Evaluation and Assessments: Each of the five units has an exercise or a set of problems that requires from 2 to 4 hours of student attention. There is also extensive reading time involved in these assignments and each blueprint involved activity, alone, can take up to two hours for someone who is learning to read blueprints for the first time.
